putting movies in ram

    if u convert a avi file to ram and then burn it will it play on the dvd players. Is ram any better? what is the purpose of ram does the movies last longer on the dvd?

    Hello.

    If you mean a DVD RAM disk, only some standalone players will be able to play it. Most current DVD Players will play +R +RW -R -RW +RDL media, as well as commercially pressed disks. DVD RAM is not universally playable. Not all computer DVD burners will even recognize and play DVD RAM disks.

    If you mean conversion of an AVI to make it DVD compliant. Yes, the video once converted will be playable on most players regardless of the type of media used as long as the media is recognized by the player.
