Weird problem

    every time i hook up my firewire external hard drive i have to reinstall the windows driver just for it to recognise it. what do i do to make it recognise it when its pluged in and turned on?

    Well i have an external drive and it has a switch on the box and i turn it on but i leave everything plugged in all the time.
