What do programs like WinDV, Pinnacle studio see the ADVC 110 as? I am unable to perform conversion using the ADVC 110 as the device appears not to be seen. I converted at least 100 hours of video using the advc but know it has stopped working. The box's lights are all lit and appear to be going. I dont know what I am doing wrong!
My ADVC-100 shows up in WinDV as "Microsoft DV Camera and VCR" http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/5246/windv7lr.jpg On my Windows XP Pro machine, in Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, the ADVC-100 shows up under "Imaging Devices" as "AVC Compliant DV Tape Recorder/Player" http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/4923/cp7ol.jpg If you have one, try connecting another firewire device to your PC to make sure your firewire port is working OK.
