I just finished building my desktop, but since I put quite a bit of money into it, I don't really want to take it to college. So, my parents are going to get me a pretty cheap laptop ($4-600)just for college stuff like typing browsing the internet, and simple stuff like that. So, in this Staples sale, my mom saw this Compaq. It says it has +AMD Sempron 3300+ +512MB RAM +80GB hdd +DVD+/- drive +802.11b/g wireless LAN +XP Home all for $529.98 I don't know much about laptops, but I like AMD, 512mb of RAM was fine on our old computer, and I'll still be able to burn all my stuff onto dvds. I've heard bad stuff about Compaq, though. Is it worth it?
It's a good deal but I have seen better ones for about the same price. if all you plan to do is simple tasks, you should get a even cheaper 1
