    You are looking at this notebook on Newegg. I figure you already have it. Newegg has this memory "assistant" to help you select ram if you know your brand and model of mother board. Recommending ram without motherboard info is problematic at best. You will need to match what exists on your machine to some extent, ie. DDR, speed, etc.

    Look at what is in your machine right now. Mixing speeds and types will slow down the ram to the speed of the slowest link or not work at all. It has to be ram that your mother board will accept. The board has a limit. Select the most you can afford that your board will accept.

    As fas as sound drivers - you need to know about your sound card. Go to the mfgr's web site to download and then install the latest drivers for your card. If your speakers are weak, you may need to replace them (if possible) as well.

    HoVa911, are you talking about the onboard speakers as can't do anything about them except use headphones or external speakers?
