Disc skipping recorded on an emerson ewr20v5 player

    I recently recorded from a vhs tape to dvd some home videos. I am using Maxell DVD-R's and up to now have had no problems. I had two people that I made dvd's for say that partially through the dvd it started to skip and freeze then would not go any further. I did remember to finalize the dvd. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Sounds like a media issue. I suggest trying a better media.
