i just won that hard drive over ebay? was that a bad deal or is it decent? i never heard of a Barracuda harddrive before so is thre anything i should be worried about?

i have 2 seagate barracudas and to tell you the truth they are amazing drives with great storage. and also very fast transfer speeds.
but the only difference is that bothe mine are sata wehile that is ide

and seagate is probably one of the nbest hdd producers

 

good to hear, i started to be a bit worried, cuz i wasnt familiar with them, i currently have a 37gb and 18.6gb hard drive, and their pretty old, and when i came across that hdd i could not just let it go by for that price

ok, i wasnt going to return it or anything, i was just wondering, and once i get it, its gonna be my only hdd in my computer, the 2 that i have right now im gonna put it in my old computer, but once i get it and install it through the ide cables, all i have to do is format it right? i have windows xp, or can i pop in the windows cd and install windows on it?

ok thanx, so i'll just insert the cd and partition it and format it, i think i remember doing so on these drives, thanx ddp, helped in the past, and still up to date on everything, much appriciation
