ok, I think this could be useful when I edit some message which is at the 9th page of thread where is 20x pages, edit should jump to the message what I just edited, I don't want to always search 9st page again, because after edit forum will jump automatically to the 1st page =/ =)
2nd that especially when dealing with multiple post that have to be edited 1 after another but get sent to 1st page after each edit is a pain in the butt.
I also think that when you click on a link to a thread, you should arrive at the most recent post, rather than the very begining of the thread. It'd useful to all, mods & members alike.
My opinion, when you click a link to the thread, you will get to first post of the thread, but if you edit or add a message to the thread you will get to last post. (and last post i mean the post you´ve just edited or added) I hope that someone get the point.
it seems to be working this way now (sorry dRD i know i have this habit of noticing these changes before they're published)
i find this change a huge help. i edit most of my posts (more than once) mostly due to bad typing and i do so many posts in each setting that it saves me a lot of mouse clicks not having to keep going back to the last page/post each time
better still when i edit posts further up a page/thread, i'm placed back at that same spot afterwards, top work dRD
been using it a fair bit now, it's not always going back to the exact post it should do, but it's still much welcomed
creaky: Actually, it does go to the correct post (granted that there's "space" at the end of the page to scroll so that the post can appear at the top of the page), but Firefox and IE6 have some issues with pictures in sigs, as the browsers sorta jump to the correct post first and then render the pictures in people's sigs, which cause the page to "live" a little bit upwards and downwards. But good to hear that a such minor fix would make people slightly happier Got similar stuff coming up today..
cheers dRD, i'd been using the Epiphany browser a lot due to Firefox crashing on me a lot on one of my Linux boxes; got an update to Firefox last night so will switch back to Firefox and see how things go..
I almoust forget that i created this thread few months ago.. and now that works like i wanted, great and thanks!
Ok is it me or did it go back to how it was before? Like I mean when I edited my post it took me to page 1 ..... EDIT: Never mind it seems like it is working now.
