Can you go to Nero StartSmart, info tools, and it will give you your Nero version and also your burner model and drivers.

it says in the supported write features section that it can write dvd-r just not DVD-R DL OR HD DVD-R
It is windows XP Professional (5.01.2600 service Pack 2)

    For the driver:
    type: DVD+/-R/RW DL Recorder
    firmware version: 1823

What else information do u need?
srry to bother u but i really need to load these discs for my vacation on Saturday.

It could be a firmware problem, that is why I asked for the MODEL of your burner.
