PC speaker problems

    When i go into control panal and then into audio it says that i have no audio device. How can i fix this so my speakers will work?? I have no idea what went wrong....

    go to your control panel, then system, then hardware, then device manager, you will probably see your sound card in there with either a red x or a yellow exclamation point, ONLY DO THIS PART IF YOU ARE RUNNING WINDOWS XP....right click on the device and choose remove or uninstall depending on your system, then right click on the computer icon at the top of the list, it should have the name of your computer next to it, when you right click choose scan for changes, it should find the sound card and reapply the driver, if it does not or if you are not using windows xp you will need to find the driver either on disc or on the net and try to update your driver manually

    I did that and now when i reinstall it it says that there was a problem and that the device might not work properly

    details....what problem does it say it has?
