Hey all, Ive been burning some of my avi files to watch on my divx player have had no problems untill recently. A few avi files i recently burned when trying to watch them a message on my divx player comes up saying file format not supported, so i figured the avi codec was not compatible with my divx player, but when i checked it with Gspot the codec was XVID, so i compared it with other files i know already worked and they used the XVID codec aswell, and they had no problem playing. Just wondering if anyone may know why this happens or way around it, any help appreciated!
Comes down to more than just the fourCC. There are restrictions on resolution, also some players don't support qpel or GMC (in fact most don't support 3 warp point GMC). Probably you missed something when you compared the files.
yeah they do have different resolutions i guess thats the problem then. is there a way i could change this?
