Samsung Sd-616T I think thats what its called I'm not anywhere near my computer, well it came in my emachines and it worked for the first 2 years and then all the sudden it stopped working properly, first it stopped reading dvds and now it takes a really long time to load up the audio cds and it never opens all the way. Someone if you know whats wrong with this and what can I do with this please help me out.
Your drive appears to have developed a hardware malfunction, prob the laser head need replacing. You could exchange the unit, if its still under warranty otherwise you will have to buy a new drive. reguser
