Hi, I recently finished editing a wedding video on windows movie maker, then using Nero Vision Express I designed a lovely menu(in my opinion!) and completed the project: upon watching the project on my DVD player, the audio is a nano second out from the footage! I've saw people complain about this on other forums and on here somewhere but couldn't find thread! The avi file plays without any glitch on my PC. I have tried messing around with codecs and all sorts but cannot get Nero to produce a final version that is acceptable: the sound during the wedding vows although 'just out of sync' is still noticable. I have tried to use AVi2DVD but that's telling me that AVi2DVD cannot support directly dv avi's so I have do a convertion that genereates an avi that can be loaded to avi2dvd. Problem here is that when I do this, it only converts about 15mins of my hour long dv avi file. I also hate the dvd menu creator with avi2dvd, what can I do people?? Is there a free encoder software that I can use and then create my DVD menu on Nero or can anyone solve the Nero problem in the first place? Sorry for the massive rambling post, I'm getting desperate! Ryan.
Most of the programs that are free do not burn very good quality, but you could try a google search for 'avi to dvd' or this link: http://www.topshareware.com/AVI-to-DVD-download-4954.htm
@ferrieboy, Hi, Can you give us some details on what version of nero (ex. 6.6.0.18) you are using, type of blank media and your pc specs? Might be you are using an older version of nero which has some bugs in it. Also if using version 7 then the most stable version is 7.0.8.2. After your post maybe we can get your audio sync back on track . Also I would take a look at the rules regarding links to personal sites (myspace), emails, etc as is against forum rules and setting you up for spam.
Thanks Matt72, Cheers for the forum advice, i'll bear it in mind. I have Nero 6.6.0.1 but it's Nero Vision Express 3.1.0.25 that I'm using to produce the final DVD. I've been burning to Maxell DVD+RW's, the PC's an Athlon AMD 64, and is only about a year old, so I assumed the problem was with Nero Vision. Any advice would be great. I'm willing to go buy a half decent equivalent of Nero Vision if you can recommend one that's not too pricey. Thanks, Ryan.
Try updating your Nero to this version, both packages http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe @agentman [bold]This statement is a load of rubbish!!![/bold]
