Im in the process of buying a External hard drive and wanted your opinion on which brand and cost would be best suited for my purchase.

Thank you guy I value your opinion and appreciate your advice.

    1. Western Digital 160 GB My Book External Hard Drive, WDG1U1600 =$99

    2. Edge 80GB External Hard Drive USB 2.0 =$79

    3. LaCie 160 GB USB External Hard Drive - Design by F.A Porsche =$104

I would go for the Western Digital as I have the same one but with 400gb storage. mine has bot firewire and usb 2.0. The firewire really helps out with those extremely huge files. Stay away from LaCie as I've only had bad experiences with that brand. Western digital all they way.

im thinking you would be better off getting an internal one and an enclosure. I got a 200gb seagate hard drive for $30 during a sale at compusa and I got a kingwin aluminum enclosure for $25 at newegg. You might not be able to find a hard drive that cheap but it will probably be cheaper than getting an external the same size.

hes got a good idea u can buy a 320gb sata 3g hdd, and enclosure for like 150 usd

go with a western digital, or seagate hdd as for a enclosure it really wont matter.

another internal hard drive to your PC or enclosure? if you mean enclosure, then you just unscrew it and switch the hard drives and the first one will be a perfectly good internal like before and the second will be a perfectly good external
