i just recently bought a pentium d 930 presler a couple of days ago and the fan was 3200rpm but today its 4,600 rpm! its way loud but i could bare with the noise the only thing i wanna know is could the fan have a higher posibility of breaking or whatever runing at such high rpm? any help would be appreciated
as long as its rated for that high of a rpm you should be fine as long as you keep the fan clean/free from dust that is .mine runs at 2500 rpm and is fine . does your system run hot with an lower rpm fan?
it doesnt run hot now im overclocking it from 3.0ghz to 3.82ghz with stock everything and it runs at 22c idle and 28-29c full load ive tried looking to c at what rpm it should be runing but i didnt find anything
