    Hi All

I'm using Nero V7.x.x.xx and can burn, copy etc. no problem. However, I have a tv tuner card and want to record tv shows to .avi.

Can Nero do this? If so, what setting(s) do I use. I've had a quick look at the guides on this web site but there doesn't seem to be one for capturing tv shows.

I've downloaded other peoples recordings in the past e.g. Lost / 24 etc. and for an hours tv show they seem to be a 350mb (approx) .avi file. I want mine to be the same size.

ANY advice / guidence would be welcome.

    cheers

    Rob.

had a quick look and can't try until I get home tonight (as I'm at work at present). Will this save the captured file in .avi format or do I have to save in one format and then convert to another?

It depends on your capture card, mine is in mpeg format, and I do it the same as guide.

ok, how do I check that and can I change it. I think it's a winfast2000 nvedia (or something like that - I'll check later). Also, when I record a tv show to say then mpeg, what settings should I use.

My DVD player will play back Divx files so normally I can put a few .avi files on there and it plays them, I think it plays *some* mpegs, but think it depends on some factors(not sure which!).

Thanks for taking the time to reply so far as I was completely in the dark! (I didn't realise you could only capture on what the card can do.).

One other thing. If I do capture in mpeg format, can I convert to .avi using nero?
