I just found one on the net for $00.88 USD and $00.99 CND. Is the chip a great buy or not. I dont think it's compatible with my SCPH-50001 system but I wanna know is this a great buy or not. Holla at your boy about it. I wont post the link but if you want the site PM.

I think you can get a neo2.2 at that price considering it's one of the first chips that ever came out for the ps2. It's an 8 wire install and requires a boot disc to play backups so if I were you I'd pass on this 'cause it's practically useless (you could probably install it and use swap magic with it without slide card or flip top 'cause from what I remember the neo2.2 tricks the ps2 into thinking the tray isn't being opened when you press eject).
