setting folder view default to details

    Ok, this is bugging the crap out of me! Im good with computers and I even have some 12 partitions and 4 operating systems but I cant figure out where the stupid little setting is to change the default folder view to details instead of the obnoxous thumbnails. Help me please.

    no, I mean the default view as in for all the folders. if you change the view in one folder, it only changes the view for that one folder. Im trying to find the view setting for all the folders.

    OK. Menu bar > Tools > Folder Options > View tab. There's a button to apply the view to all folders.
