Hi. I'm using MPC with ffdshow 2006-5-26 and also vsfilter 2.37. I have tried just using the subtitle options within ffdshow without vobsub, and solely using vobsub and encounter the same problem. The first line of any ogm does not display on screen, but the rest of the episode displays correctly. VLC player handles the subtitles just fine, which tells me that the subtitles are there, they're just not being displayed.

Anyone else encounter this? I have tried so many different configurations, from VMR7/9 to default with vobsub. Every option I can think of within vobsub etc...

    Any help?

    Thanks,

    KK

If you have it set to VMR7/9, then you don't need dvobsub. You can just use MPC's internal renderer.

Yes, I know this. I have tried everything possible to get it working. I figured out how to do it today though after trying many configurations over the past few months (been using VLC whenever I give up) and Haali's Splitter designed for matroska is the only thing that works properly for ogm's. I installed the CCCP pack and it enabled that codec for ogm files. I have tried everything including a fresh windows install and nothing worked, until now.

Gabest's built in ogm splitter works fine here.
