    I just figured this out last night;; in fact, i'm copying a disney tape right now using the Cyberhome DVR-1600;

    what you can do is connect the RCA 'out' on your VCR to the RCA connector's 'in' on your t.v. Then, connect the rca connector's 'line-out' on your t.v. to the input on your Dvd recorder, and voila! no macro!

    How it works: when you send the macro signal through a t.v. like this old JVC i have; it stabilizes the signal and then sends that clean signal into the dvd recorder; hence no copyguards...

    P.S. this doesn't work for ALL tv's so don't get too excited, but if your t.v. has suitable hookups (normally used for connecting a VCR) that have a composite & RCA connector 'in' and a composite & RCA connector going 'out' from your t.v.

    Hope it works for you! sure did for me!
