Some popups have just started appearing on my toolbar. See image --> The yellow triangle notification wants takes me to a site to download the antispyware program at antivirusgolden.com The gray and red box comes from the circle/slashthru which alternates with a windows question mark help icon. This one takes me to download SpywareQuake. McAfee cant find it, my spyware came up with a few items, but the resulting "fix" didnt accomplish anything. I get occasional popups on my desktop for online casinos and dating services. These annoying spyware notifications come up every 15 seconds or so, even after ive dismissed them. You can get these programs at http://download.com and they are free programs. Ad-Aware (Lavasoft) Spybot Search & Destroy Run both of them in safe mode along with McAfee and when you reboot your system will be clean. Let me know how everything works out for you.
@Wolphie Reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following: 1. Restart your computer 2. After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8. 3.
