Hi, whenever I play any single-player game (including oblivion, fable, half-life 2, etc), There is crippling lag every few minutes. At first, the game runs fine, then, after a set amount of minutes, it lags for a set amount of minutes, then runs fine again for a set amount of minutes then lags...... you get the picture. This means that every few minutes, I have to pause the game, let it lag, wait...wait... and then I can play again. It is very frustrating! What could be causing this and how do I fix it?
My PC is a laptop with 512 ram and 32 ati mobility radeon... but that doesn't matter because: 1)The game can sometimes run a good 10-15 minutes between lags perfectly smooth 2) It starded doing this a few weeks ago. Before that, it never lagged. (I dont remember if I did anything to make it start)
