which is faster

    i have a pentium d 3.0ghz i could overclock to 3.82ghz stable and the ram at 510mhz but im overclocking right now to 3.6ghz and ram at 640mhz so wich is faster?

    Depends what the purpose is.

    The first one would be better for encoding videos and other CPU intensive tasks, but the second one with the faster RAM would help in a gaming environment.

    Well it all depends what ram your using!!!

    If youve got ram which doesnt respond well to overclocking then go for the first one.

    However if you can reach that stable. Id say the second one. It would be more noticeable anyway.

    Why not just download a benchmarking tool and run the tests on both setups, rather than having to guess you'll have a definitive answer.
    Try PC Mark 05, unless ou need the extra feayures of the pro version it is free to use.

    i have 3d mark 06 il run some tests but anyways it is stable at 3.6ghz and ram at 640mhz i left for 10 hours on prime 95 no errors

    May i ask what cooler and ram your using??

    look at my sig there is no cooling, and my ram what brand is it? just look at my sig yeah thats right it doesnt have a brand lol

    Stock fan!! Jesus thats an amazing overclock. Hard to believe thoose temps though! What temp monitor you using?

    this is my last overclock im leaving it like this 3.7ghz and ram at 658mhz and stock cpu voltage!

    the trick is just buy some unbranded ram they overclock alot
