Well, have you bought a USB 2.0 PCI Card? Or is it that all your current drivers are 1.0 or 1.1 and you want to update them?

I have bought a hi-speed usb 2.0 pci card. When I connect a hi-speed device, it says, this may not work properly.

Did this card come with a driver disc and did you install the drivers BEFORE connecting it in your PC? USB cards tend to be different either install before or after. If you install the card without drivers first, XP will use it's basic feature which may cause problems.

I have installed the drivers for this card. I went to device manager to see if there was a problem but there isn't. It recognises the device.

Sorry, I'm connecting pinnacle dvc90. This is an analogue capture device from vcr and it requires a hi-speed 2.0 port. I have been on the pinnacle website but see any updates for this item.

The main requirements are that you must have a hi-speed 2.0 port, windows xp, and the software. I have all three.

I have sp2 with all updates upto date and the hi-speed driver has been connected to the motherboard because I can see it on device manager. If I connect dvc90 to normail usb2.0, it recognises it but says it would work faster connected to hi-speed 2.0. So, when I connect to hi-speed port, It doesn't.
