    Hi,
I'm using Virtualdub and when the video is in the program, the video color gradually turns pink until it comes to a new keyframe. It seems that when it reads the file I'm trying to convert (the original), it is pink then, also. When I open the file in DivX Player or Windows Media Player V9, it does not show the pinkish color, it looks fine. So, I believe that somehow virtualdub is reading (or something) the file differently than the players. And it does show the pink color when I play the video in Virtualdub, too.

I don't have the angelpotion codec installed, but I did notice that the decompressor in Virtualdub is the MPEG4 V3 codec. I don't know how to uninstall the codec and get a better one, and I don't know that I have to.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I'm not in a position to offer a concrete solution to your problem. However, as I had this problem with angelpotion (thanks Dela), I can only suggest that it's a different codec that V-dub doesn't get along with. You may want to go into your windows system files and try to hunt down, find, and delete the offending codec. Once I deleted the codec, my problem was solved.
    Best of luck!
