sata flash to sata 2 can that work

    hey there !!!
    i have asus a7n8x-e deluxe can it be possible if i flash the sata controlor to sata2 because my harddrive is sata 2 and running at sata 1

    You would need to change the chip on the mobo. No way to flash. Basically buy a new board. Like my board in my sig. Thought it was the nvidia ultra chiset and turns out it is the stock nvidia chiset. One of the differences is stat2 and 1 function....

    You will gain a lot, but a whole new board would robally better. As with the different chiset suorting sata 2 you gain other advantages as well...

    Damn thats old school. LOL! Nowadays socket 939 boards can be had for 60 bucks usd on ebay...

    LOL it is pretty fast and i can sell this board for 100 something :O 939 is old school now they have am2 and intel conroe owning fx62 and amd is coming out 4x4

    might get $50 for that board as the cheapest brand new board i can get is a socket 939 for $67 with sata1

    Well maybe Im a little behind as my rig was built in summer last year. But oc at 2.6 blows most amd fx chips away. I have a san diego 3700+ v\btw. Around my parts ya socket a board the most I would get locally used is bout 30.00 usd. Not worth nothing. I have two of them sitting here that I got for free. Maybe not the exact brand, but just as fast....
