what program i need to play my movies in the hd

hi everybody, im try to play my movies in my hd but i cant get it right i rip the movies in an image with toast 7 but it wont play with the dvd player or quick time.....thanks for the help

 

are you trying to rip right out off the dvd?
do you have the VIDEO_TS folder?
you can just play it using your dvd player on your mac.. open dvd player-->apple+o-->find the video_ts folder-->hit "play"
should work fine

 

and if this doesn't work

try hanbrake it will directly convert all dvd movies into mpeg4 for use in quicktime and front row

 

Why would you say that it wouldn't work? Have you tried it? I do this all the time.

 

i know but i was giving them another alternative because not all macs run video ts folders very well i have 2 mac minis and unless you convert the video first the video is choppy and very unstable

 

Or you could try using a different media player like VLC:
