Burning from DishTV PVR

I record movies (pay per view) from DishTV to the PVR and then have been burning them to DVD on a stand alone DVD player/recorder. Now many movies are being copy protected where I get a message from the DVD recorder and it won’t record the movie. I tried copying to a VCR and then from there to the DVD recorder and had the same problem. What software should I get to record from the DishTV PVR to my computer so I can burn a DVD on it. I want to play the DVD’s on regular players. What else do I need to know.

What's the model of your DISH PVR? I have an old 501 and I don't have any problems.

Hello I have a similar problem,
my issue is that I want to transfer recorded content from my dishnetwork HD DVR ViP622 to my PC to create a DVD.
    ViP622 has a USB port.

Is it posible to do this?, from USB to USB as a file?

    Please reply....

I solved my problem by purchasing DVDExpress (DX2) to copy into my laptop PC and this solved the problem. It seems when the program copied by the CAPWIZ software as a MP2 file it drops the copy protection. This has worked good except the Capwiz software hs to be re-installed every once in a while.
