Im planning to get a new laptop since im going to university. Im not too heavily into PC gaming (only console) but id like a semi-decent video card (also looking for >1.6ghz, 1gig ram, ~80-100gig harddrive, new) if possible. Well anyways, given that Windows Vista is coming and the new DVD wars are about to start, do you think I should get a crappy laptop now wait and see if there are any big price drops on old stuff (or perhaps save now for next gen later)? I dont have a big budget, maybe $1000 (CAD) Yeah so if an knows of a good deal or has any comment about the waiting, go for it.
well there are many laptops that can be bought which are under 1K(can) which are decent but i went by the sony sotre in toronto and say a nice looking laptop and it had preety big screen about 19 i think then i looked at the price and it was 4000$ i was like wtf then i read the info and looked at all the stats and they were decent and i was wondering if they ,made a mistake but all the way at the end it said it can play blu-ray not burn but just play.....so i guess ur gunna have to wait a long time to get that 1 if u only have 1000,i suggest just getting a decent laptop then wait 2-3 year for everything to get finaliized and cheaper
i'd recommend just gettin a decent refurbed one. heres one matching ur specs, although i have no idea how much it is in(CAN) http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2271075&CatId=0
