My sound on the computer is not working it is noth the speakers fault because I have tested them. I can't figure out the problem. Nothing is in Mute and the sound is all the way up too. So can someone help me figure out what's wrong? Thanks in advance

I cant think of any exact problem these are all the problems I could think of. . .

    -speakers not plugged in?
    -speaker power supply unplugged?
-systems has been muted (tray icon)?
-software being used (music wise anyway) is muted?
    -If using soundcard, corrupted driver?
    -If onboard audio disabled?
    -Fault speaker plug?
-If connected to a speaker system, possible torn wires from speaker to speaker?
