hi, ive got a quick question. if i unistall quake 4, but copy the saved game folder into another directory. can i then reinstall the game at a later date and keep my saves. is there another easier way of doing this? like PC memory cards lol or am i best using a rewritable disk? ps- actaull this question is aimed at games in general, how do i keep my saves? thx damo
It varies from game to game.In 90% of cases you can do that but there is a small percentage of games that have problems.When you reinstall the game at a later time you must place those files(or the entire folder)in the exact place you got them from.Most games have a saves folder so it will be easy to find. As far as an easier way they can be stored on any time of memory or cd/dvd media.A usb flash drive is a great way as well as discs.
thx for your quick reply. i sensed that was the answer, the folder is called save so it should be a matter of replaceing the folder with the new folder when its installed again. thx i can now uninsstall quake 4, i completed it today and am wanting to have a bash at the new tombraider. its somthing like 9GB when installed !!!!!!!!
