I currently have a wireless network set up for a friend. He has the router set up and we connected the laptop i'm using right now to post this message. However there is a desktop in the house we want to connect to the network to share the internet. So we bought a cable and wireless 802.11g Wireless LAN Mini USB adaptor. The eirless router is a Bufalo Airstation. The USB adaptor appears to connect to the network but it says this Wireless network has a limited or no connection to the network, some resources may not be avaible such as the internet. It says on FAQ's at Buffalo to set the other comp to DCHP. However the other computer is already set to that and i'm having no luck. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.

First of all try right clicking on the icon and then click on REPAIR, this should tkae like 30 seconds to disconnect and then conect again. If the problem persists then follow the next method below:

Check the connections TCP/ IP settings in network connections and manually assign the details yourself.

before doing that make sure you open up command prompt and type in "ipconfig /all" without the quotes, leave this window open.

Now go to network connections and right click the connection you are using, usually WIRELESS CONNECTION. Scroll down and click on TCP/ IP and click on properties, click on "use the following IP" and type in the corresponding details as shown in the command prompt window.

Next click on "Use the following DNS settings" and type in the details as shown in command prompt under DNS servers. Tell me if you have any probs, this usually works for me when I had that prob.
