This 'image' or glitch has been on my aunt's desktop for a few weeks now and she's tried restarting, using a different desktop background, running general diagnotics such as Ad-Aware and Spybot.

Anyway know what would cause this, and then how to remove it?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

It's the red/white 'strip' at the top right hand side of the screenshot.
