I currently have a piece of crap Dell Dimension 2400 with Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics controller. I bought a Diamond MM ATI Radeon S9250PCI256SB. I finally got it to work somewhat after I disabled the onboard video in Windows device manager. Only problem is the picture is horrible as soon as I boot up. Motion of any kind on the screen makes a wierd blue and yellow checkered pattern everywhere.

I tried installing the latest ATI Catalyst drivers from Diamond's site. Then whenever I finish installation and reboot, Windows looks like its loading normally, then at the XP login screen, there is no video from then on out.

If anyone has fixed this problem before or ever seen anything similar, please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

It could be firmware corruption, happened on one of my ATI cards, i didnt fix it though, just got another one, see if you can find any updated firmware on the internet, try updating your computers bios too.
