I have 2 desktops: my old dell and the one in my sig. I recently got a new router (125mbps maxG US robotics). After I got it, I decided to put a password using WPA encryption (I used WEP on my old one). My dell wouldn't connect to it for some reason and my new computer would. I tried getting rid of the password. The dell said "could not repair connection" but the belking wireless utility light was green and it worked. But It always disconnects after 15 minutes or so. I use a belkin PCI card for my dell and a USB device for my new computer. The router has a romovable 2 decibal antenna so I switched it with the 4 decibal omnidirectional antenna on my dell, if that has anything to do with it but according to Windows I still have 4 bars of signal. Im thinking it could be a compatibility problem. Am I supposed to update the drivers for my router and PCI card? Is there something on the CD the router came with that will fix the problem? What should I do?

Make sure your PCI Card in the Dell supports WPA

sry for double post, but I opened up my computer to see what the model number is for the PCI card, and I downloaded the version 3 firmware from Belkin and installed it. It seems to be working now, Ill check back in 15 minutes to see if its still connected.

EDIT: alright, Its still working. the PCI card update did the trick
