Help me with PC Upgrade

    I am currently using
    Motherboard:845G
    Ram:512Mb(400Mhz)
    Processor:1.7Ghz Celeron (400Mhz)
    Winxp Sp2
    I want to upgrade to Celeron 2.66Ghz and add another 512mb RAM.
    The question i wanna ask is can i upgrade to 2.66Ghz celeron(533Mhz) alongside ram of 400Mhz?
    Coz,my frnds tell me that there might be compatibilty problems....
    Plz,advice...

    check board site to see if can use that cpu as board might not post at all with that cpu.

    yea what ddp said. check the manufacturer site. all in all id say build your self a new computer and stay away from the celeron they have internal errors and are not reconized as good processors at all

    you mean you can have a 400mhz ram with a 533mhz processor work flawlessly!
