This is sort of an odd question. I was looking at a motherboard for a new cpu I want to build and it says it can handle certain CPU's and such and I'm fine with that.

The motherboard says is can handle a FSB of 1000mhz while the CPU's of that socket type are rated at 2000mhz FSB of what I want.

My question is will the motherboard support a CPU of that high of a FSB of 2000mhz if the motherboard is only rated at 1000mhz FSB??? Like no problems will come around or ruin any components? Thanks for the help!

no it will downgrade it. so if your gonna buy a new mobo and cpu. your better off buying them in a combo deal tiger direct and new egg both have combo deals and youll be sure theyll work and wont be downgraded by little problems its worth it.

Alright yeah I was looking at tigerdirect and newegg both and was just looking around and it kind of boggled my mind a little bit. I just didn't want to end up buying something like that that costs alot and it ends up ruining components. But thanks a lot for the help!
