Hey. I just got my new PC up and running but now I have to install all my old tricks from my last computer. Right now I'm trying to speed up my bittorrent by opening ports but I'm having quite a bit of trouble with that. I posted on the Bittorrent topic log but I'm sure by now it has been abandoned by you all. anyways, here's my problem:

I can't download the newest firmware for linksys.
    it takes me to this:

but I don't know what to set the file path to. It wont start downloading.

what should I set it to?

You need to get the latest firmware from Linksys web site, did you do that yet?

Also what is the version and model number of your Linksys router?

Alright thanks but when I try and download it, it won't open, and it keeps trying to open it with VLC Media Player. What kinda program do I need to open it?

It's a bin file and all you need to is follow your own directions as seen here.

At the file path select browse and select your file then hit upgrade.
