Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

Read more about the update and let us know what you think!

Well, I have no idea where else I would put this. So, sorry if it's in the wrong place.

My question is, is there a prgram or some kind of setting to download anything from website?? Like videos, songs, or flash programs?? I know, like two years ago. My friends got this to work. Though, he told me he just change some settings on his brower. Has anyone hear of this???

thanks. ^-^

I'm assuming you have ,hopefully, got Firefox. Head over to http://www.getfirefox.com and check the addons section and download the extension called 'DownThemAll'. This, as well as being a download manager, allows you to download ALL downloadable elements on any web page.

BTW if you don't have Firefox then get it at the same site.

@Hakayami- if DownThemALL doesn't downloaded those embedded flv videos then get this extension for Firefox- 'VideoDownloader' it's made specifically for those websites with embedded flv videos like YouTube and MySpace.

They're not actually programs they're Firefox extensions and yes VideoDownloader (specifically) allows you to donwload those videos that are only meant to be played liked MySpace, Metacafe, YouTube etc. After downloading these you'll need to get an FLV player or FLV to AVI converter- just search around aD- many people have asked how to convert or play .FLVs.

#10 09 Aug 2006 @ 10:49
@billybob: If you are getting this plugin for Firefox, then when you go to save the vid, it gives you a link to their own FLV player. And it is a v handy player - just a little bit of info for ya :)
