ok..first off if i hurt anyone's feelings..sorry..but come on...what is with that stupid bullcrap of "1337" or "h4x02" writing/talk...personally that is some of the most annoying and childish crap i've seen in a long time...it seems like almost anytime i start to look into a thread, here comes somebody trying to sound all badass and trying to talk in "code"...eeewww aaaahh YOU ARE SO AMAZING!!! whatever...learn to talk normal..anytime i see that, it just makes you look like you are a 10 yr old kid trying your hardest to impress people...real hackers don't go around trying to sound all badass...they are like nike...they just do it...so please grow up...

and with that note, i leave an example(taken from one of the forums, but i will not post who said it..i'm not here to point anyone out, just to prove a point):
    "1 4M t0 1337 t0 Pu2ch453 g4M35... 1 h4x02 7h3m..."

    holla ;)

are you kidding me..there might be a 2% of those people that MIGHT be actual hackers...but from what i've seen, most are just kids trying to be cool...so if you wouldn't mind..please explain the reasoning behind most of this...at first i thought, ok cool...now it's kind of ridiculous and annoying..sorry..just my thoughts though..

I'm not a programmer and I'm not a hacker. The last time I programmed was when I was 14 years old.

When I was a kid, I had a Sinclair ZX-81, with 1KB of memory. At the time — back in 1984 or 85 — if you wanted to play a game you couldn't buy a CD, so you had to buy one of the listing magazines, like Sinclair Programs. You had to look at the listing of computer code and type it into your machine. At the end you would try to run the program, and if it didn't run you would have to correct any syntax errors.

This 'leet' speak is a bunch of KIDS that couldnt program there
way out of a wet paper bag, trying to impress people and look cool.

That may work some places but trust me it wont fly here.
Take your little kiddy games somewhere else because
this a REAL tech support forum,
Not a place for stupid childish jargon.
Or ANYONE bragging about how they pirate games and think its cool.

This from DOES NOT condone piracy,

a name in itself can be considering childish/offensive, or not...

...however leet speak is meaningless and quite frankly pointless and downright unnecessary to the majority of people (especially us growed-ups); by all means let people speak in leet or Vulcan or txt speak or gansta speak or whatever in the relevant environment, but NOT on public forums where the majority of people either don't want to see it or just plain don't understand it. I for instance use txt speak to allow maximum amount of characters in a message, BUT ONLY on a mobile phone. It's all about communicating correctly in the correct places. Call me old-fashioned but those are my thoughts. I even have what's considered to be a slightly cringeworthy accent but talk a little more 'posh i guess' if i'm not going to be understood quite as easily as i might be (certainly in an interview i'd make an effort to talk slightly better)

@creaky...."cringeworthy" ...that is a neat word which will prove useful. I saw a film last weekend entitled "trainspotting" or something of the sort. I rather enjoyed it but couldn't understand 3/4 of the dialogue.

Ewan McGregor's in that one, but haven't watched it in years and aim to watch it this week. I'm sure i'll understand the dialogue :)

    Jizmak is a cool name..

Jizmak Da Gusha is a character and drummer in the rock band GWAR. According to GWAR mythos, Jizmak Da Gusha was a beast of tremendous power, native to a planet known as "The Wide Wide World of Sports," and he was frozen in a block of ice, presumably near the GWAR headquarters in Antarctica, for millennia. When GWAR's former drummer Nippleus Erectus sadly dissolved after ingesting copius amounts of hydrochloric acid, GWAR decided to thaw Jizmak to replace Nippleus. Although the costume has undergone many changes since the charecter was introduced, Jizmak's onstage get-up somewhat resembles a monsterous dog with very large teeth. He is usually seen wielding a large warhammer, most likely a reference to his role as drummer in the band.

When GWAR was first formed, their drummer was a character named Hans Orifice. Hans was originally played by Sean Sumner but was replaced after a few shows by Jim Thompson. By the time GWAR's first album Hell-O was released, the character of Hans Orifice had been replaced by Nippleus Erectus, played by Rob Mosby. However, following the album's release, Mosby left the band and Pete Luchter served as GWAR's drummer under the alias Lee Beato. Luchter had to leave the band after only a few gigs due to a nervous breakdown. Shortly afterwards, Brad Roberts joined the band as drummer and created the character Jizmak Da Gusha. Roberts played drums on Scumdogs of the Universe even though a misprint in the pressing accredited Mosby. Roberts also drums for GWAR spinoff bands RAWG, X-Cops and The Dave Brockie Experience. Roberts played drums for two X-Cops songs, "Beat You Down" and "Junkie," replacing Mike Dunn. He is also featured as a vocalist on the song "Barbells" on the album "You Have The Right To Remain Silent...," though is not the drummer.

Jizmak is the only character who does not wear his armor during concerts. Him being a drummer, this makes perfect sense. The only additions to the Jizmak costumes besides the mask are two bladed arms coverings resembaling dragon mouths, a "gut-plate", and a loin cloth. These costume pieces have undegone minor changes, getting more detailed as time progressed. His head piece mostly had subtle changes until 2004. In "Scumdogs of the Universe" and "America Must Be Destroyed" Jizmak had 2 big ears and a very large red jaw, but the top half of his head was Roberts in make-up. Starting in "This Toilet Earth" and lasting until "Violence has Arrived" Jizmak had a similar red headpiece, except the ears were slightly shrunk, and a top half of the head was added. This had a dog like nose, beady black eyes, and a top jaw. The hair was removed from the costume (it being Roberts' real hair, and he wore it short for a time). For the most part, the lower jaw stayed the same. This was the longest lasting Jizmak head. For the 2004 album "War Party" and 2005's "Live in Mt. Fuji" the headpiece was changed to closely resemble a wolf, with grey coloring and distorted features. His hair was again long (like it is in real life). This is the current Jizmak costume. For the summer tour, as well as the new album, his costume (as with the entire band), has undergone changes.

Jizmak Da Gusha and Oderus Urungus are the only two (of the five) central GWAR characters who have been played by only one person. Roberts first started playing with GWAR in 1989, after the year's North American tour.

Jizmak plays GMS Drums - 10” 12” 14” 16” toms, 22” kick drums, and a 14” Ludwig super phonic snare drum, Paiste cymbals - 18” 2002 crash, 18” signature power crash, 20” dimensions power crash, 20” 2002 chinas, 20” 2002 power bell ride, Promark sticks - 707 hickory nylon tip custom JiZMak signature stick, and Evans G2 and ST coated drumheads. Sometimes Jizmak's drums have been painted to resembled distorted eyes or skulls, adding to Gwars distinct visual appearance. Currently, his drums are unpainted except for the words, "Fxxx", "OFF", "YOU", "xxxx", "xxxx" and "BLOW" scribbled on some of the drums. The entire drum kit is underneath a large arch-like structure. The first incarnation was seen in the "Live From Antarctica" video, though the current arch looks nothing like it. There are also lights mounted to it.

in my dear ol' humble opinion, anyone still using leet speak needs to have the royal crap kicked out of them. it's old. it was old and stupid years ago now, when it was first brought into common usage. it's been time to move on forever now. christ, why in a world where there's a new fad or trend every 2 seconds would grammatical fecal matter like this remain?
