PS2 backup

#1 12 Jun 2003 @ 3:01
Hi,

I have a PS2 SCPH-39004 and i am planing to buy Fujitsu-Siemens 4 x DVD +R/+RW DVD burner with Nero software. The thing is that i want to have backup for my PS2 games as well as for my movies. I dont know which version my PS2 SCPH-39004 has and what kind of DVD it plays, i mean if it supports +R/+RW. Secondly i had like to know, if i need a mod chip for my PS2 inorder to play the games. If yes then i would like to buy MAGIC 3.1.

Thanks in advance.

I would recommend getting a dvd-r burner or a multi format burner(eg. sony dru500) that does both -r and +r because I know some people who's ps2s don't support +r. There is a way to play games without a mod, if you get a flip top with magic swap but, It's a big hastle and not all games work with it. It's be much simpler to get a mod.
