Wireless router help!!!!!!

    ok i just had my friend do a factory reset on her Linksys WRT54GS router because she didnt know the password to get into the setup page @ 192.168.1.1, but now that she can get into the setup page, the internet doesnt work.

    i have no idea why can any1 help?

    Does she use DSL or cable modem? IF its DSL, you need to set it up as a PPOE connection and provide the username/password.

    Let us know what shs has, and we'll go from there.

    actually she has cable and i had her clone her mac address but it still wouldnt work so i finally told her to just unplug everything and turn of her comp off for a min to do a powercycle and after taht it worked again :)

    i'm on cable and the mac address stuff kills all connections so i don't use it. without it set all my pc's work ALL the time, wired and wireless

    well its working now so im not gonna try and tweak it anymore but thx for the suggestion :)
