    Someone please help me.

Well, I went out and bought an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ for my computer. I took it to a computer place and they put a new motherboard and power supply, etc to make it function with the new processor.

I had to reinstall windows, so I unistalled it and reformatted my drive and now have Windows XP Professional x64 Edition installed.

It works completely ok, but when I go to bed I leave it on of course like I always used to do. When I wake up in the morning it is completely frozen/stuck. The mouse won't move, the keyboard will nto work and there is no message/error to show that something happened to cause this freezing.

I have no idea why this is happening. Maybe with this new processor/power supply/etc. I need 2 Gigs of RAM instead of 1. For soem reason I think the computer runs out of memory or soemthing to keep it going. Sorry if this sounds dumb but I don't know what else it could be.

    Will someone please help me.
Thank you very much in advance.

Do you have any Warrenty left from the guys who rebuilded your computer..
If you do take it back to them to have a look at your computer.

Yeah, I'm not sure if I still have a waranty but I'll take it to them. Would you have a gues at what it could be or am I not giving enough information to come to an educated conclusion?

that would be very hard to diagnose that problem..as it happens over night at no set time..best to take it back to who rebuiled it..

Your PC might be overheating. check the temps to see if this is the problem.

I thought that too. How do I check the temps? I assumed the place that built my computer knew what they were doing with my processor but maybe it is overheating.

one way to check a temp problem

take the side off the computer, get a large floor fan and point it into the computer..with the computer on over night.if it does not lock up..then its a temp problem..

I have the side of my cover taken off and I have one of those personal fans blowing straight in my rig. the stock fan that my pc came with sucks and I have it overclocked but the fan does the job, lol

Post back and tell us your findings.

    *Edit*

Try this utility as it will give you all you need to know about your PC and Temps. When you download this select on the .exe and select my computer and sensor in the program, this will give you your temps.
