the program was running fine when i first installed it a few weeks ago, but when i started it today it comes up with a message that say "loading alcohol sevice drivers failed! Emulation options and native driver interface of alcohol 120 will not be available" now i can't create a virtual drive but i can still burn cds now i figured i would just uninstall the app and reinstall -won't work now i get an error that says Setup is unable to validate this installation and it shuts down. now i got another version of alcohol and when i'm setting it up it asks to install a scsi pass through direct(sptd), so i hit ok, annd now it says failed to open config key the open was spelled "oped" then the setup shuts down. i installed dvdshrink,anydvd, and divxtodvd prior to all of this happening in which dvdshrink isn't workin right either -this looks long, but please lemme know if u have any solutions
Try uninstalling dvdshrink and reinstalling it. If all eles fails, move to a new program like blindwrite, i find it better than any other burning program as it can burn ANYTHING.
I am having the exact same problem with alcohol that Beatz has, and when i deleted the program to try and reinstall it, it gives me the same message about a failed key. I tried to follow the forum advice and just try a different program, so i got deamon tools. When i try to install it, i get a similar message. I am totally stuck, i need my emulator, and i have no idea what to do, Any help would be very much appreciated.
I havn't funked with AL120% for some time now due to this being outdated and what not, anyways as soon as AL120% detects some sort of hardware change, Alcohol becomes voided and will no longer work unless you contact them directly (which is a pain in the ass). I would take this problem to Alcohol's forum and see if they can't help with another key or some other fix....that's if you are running a legal version.
