While using dvd shrink (latest version),with Nero 7, I get through to encoding 100%. The original disc then ejects followed by a message install a blank disc. After I install a new blank dvd-r it carries out a checking disc which goes on and on to no ending.
Check to see if there's an upgrade to your firmware. It could also be a media problem. What kind of blanks do you use. Stay far away from Memorex. Buy name brands (Sony, Maxell, FujiFilm), that are made in Japan, not Taiwan. The only Taiwan made media to use is Verbatim. Good luck!
Yeah, I just learned that Memorex doesn't work in all stand alone players, so I switched over to Verbatim and they worked perfectly. Also, your problem could be a bad disc. I got through 20% backing up a DVD last night and it stalled out on me. So I believe I just got a bad disc, as you might have a bad one, that's why it keeps reading without an end in sight.
You could also have DVD Shrink output an ISO and then burn with... DVD Decrypter (MODE/ISO/WRITE) Or Nero (choose to burn disc image)
