I was just wondering why my mic, doesn't work anymore. Before when it was newly bought, it was working. It's not broken or anything, I just believe that there is something wrong with the sound system in my computer. (Not sure)

I checked everything with the volume control and etc. Its not muted and seems pretty fine to me.

Problem is, I couldn't record using the mic (before it was working) and when I'm using it with YM my friend doesn't hear me but I could hear him.

    Any idea why that is?

    does it work with skype?
incase you are using skype you need to select your mic as the input device

Nah, I don't need that Skype thing that you are referring too. All I want is to record something from my mic.Well I might need it but recording is more important to me right now.

    Thanks for sharing though.

make sure that your mic is properly plugged in your pc.
if this continues, try to uninstall the mic and reinstall it, in mose cases, that works.

I'm pretty sure that my mic is properly connected. I might un-install it then re-install it again. The thing is, where do I un-install it?

in the Device Manager, right-click on my computer(not the shortcut, you can find it in the start menu (if ure an xp pro user))
okay so right-click on my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager then look for you mic. dont forget to uninstall the program that comes with the mic (if there was)

so after you uninstall it reboot your computer then plug your mic than install it, that should work.
