Ripping cd's to pc? Does'nt give the name of song.

Anyone know how to fix this? When i try to rip a cd to my pc i get music files labled "track 1" "track 2" ect. Is it something to do with the settings? I have XP. Thanks in advance.

first off, what are you using to rip your CDs to your computer? Chances are it doesn't connect to the freedB and doesn't automatically tag and name the files. The best and free ripper out there is called EAC (exact audio copy). We have a guide here on how to install, setup, and use EAC. I highly recommend it. You can find the link to the guide in my sig below...

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
