im gonna build a new system soon and there are two budget video cards that really catch my eye Geforce 7600 GT or ATI X850 XT Platinum Edition They both cost about the same ($200-$220 CAN)
I have the 7600GT and it works well. I'm uneducated about the ATI card, I only know what I've used. Does the board for your new build have Nvidia or ATI chipset in it? I ask because even though many people tell you that you can run both together, I had a real problem with an ATI all in wonder card with Nvidia chipset on a machine a few years ago. I changed cards and the problem went away (after I deleted all ATI drivers). Things could be much different now, I just know what happened to me.
