Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

Clipping and converting a MOV file to VCD format

Hi all,

I have a 120 MB Quicktime MOV file that I want to convert to VCD format so I can burn it to a disc. I have Adobe Premiere 6 but I think I need some sort of plugin as the file type is not recognised. Where can I get this file ? Also, the video has a border all the way around which I would like to clip out of the file so that it is not there on the VCD. What is the best program to use to achieve this ?

TIA for any advice.

I used Ulead Media Studio Pro, to cut files and directly to convert .mov to mpeg. But the conversion from .mov to .mpeg1 is very slow (well it was very on my computer), so be warned!
