I tried to search this out but am wondering if there is a way to copy my songs from Windows Media Player to my Itunes Library. Some songs are taken from my cds and others have been downloaded from limewire......thanks for your help
it's been awhile since i've had itunes. i had it for a short while. i was sure there was an option to import from your library somewhere. i know not much help but that is how i got my songs into itunes. someone more knowledgeable should have a straight answer for you soon.
I have tried to use the import option and the copy files but neither one of them work.....thanks anyway...maybe someone will reply with another suggestion...
sorry i couldn't be more help. i did use the import and it worked for me. i'm sure you'll get a better answer soon.
To add files to iTunes, just go "file", and "add file to library" (or "add folder to library" if you've a folder filled with tracks). You could probably highlight the tracks in WMP and drag them in to iTunes aswell.
i have tried to do that but for some reason, it will not let me import my songs from WMP to itunes..i have tried to drag, use the imprort, and add files and folders
What format are they? If they are .wma's, for example, they wont run in iTunes and will have to be converted.
iTunes will convert WMA files to Mp4 or Mp4 (AAC) just add your music folders to your iTunes library as Lethal_B instructed. Ced
Thanks for all who replied. Got it done but had to do each folder seperatly. Not sure why i had to do each one individually. For some reason just couldnt get it to copy the whole library at one time.
